Coming in January 2017 at Boulder Swing Dance

When your New Year's resolution is to dance more, we've got you covered!

Monday Night at Kake's Studio's

We start a new Level 1 Swing series this month on January 9th from 8-9 PM.  If you are new to swing dancing, this is where you should start.

If you've completed a month of Level 1, then you're ready to start our Level 1.5 from 7-8 PM.  This month we'll be building on material from Level 1 while teaching dancers the fundamentals needed to progress to level 2.

Level 2 will be from 8-9 PM and is for those who've taken two months of 1.5. January is the greatly anticipated Balboa month! Balboa is a closer version of swing dance that is often used when dancing to fast tempos.

For students who've been through all of our Level 2 material, we're bringing back our Level 2.5 courses! This month Sarah and Freeman are preparing material for students who want a more advanced curriculum.

LIVE MUSIC WITH JEREMY MOHNEY

After class, from 9 PM-10:30 PM we'll have our regular weekly dance. Staying for the social dance is a great way to try out moves you learn from lessons, as well as get to know your classmates, and it's free if you take a class.  On January 9th, Jeremy Mohney and his band are playing for us, so stick around for some great live music!

Wednesday Night at SKEYE Brewing

We're excited to run our beginner series again in Longmont on Wednesdays from 7-8 PM. The material covered in the Wednesday Longmont classes will be identical to the material covered in the Monday classes in Boulder. This means that if you need to miss a Wednesday class you can make it up on Monday (and vice-versa). Want more practice? Now you can take both series at the same time to accelerate your learning.

Following the class will be a 30 minute practice (free) where you can try out your new moves, hang out with your classmates, and ask the instructors any questions you might have. Consider making a purchase to support the venue.

Social Events

Every month we host social events for dancers to have a chance to get to know each other. We've gone ice skating, had Thanksgiving together, played board games and more. This month our social event is TBD but check Facebook for updates. We're totally open to suggestions also, so if you have a great community idea, talk to Auliya at the front door.
